About

Our Mission

The mission at V.B.T. is to see the city of Georgetown changed for the glory of God. We seek to see those who do not know heaven as there home come to know Jesus as their Lord, and then to grow in fellowship with other Christians.

A Place For Service:

Just as Jesus came “not to be ministered unto, but to minister.” We accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship. We have a “Soul-Winners Class” that meets once a week for instruction and on the job training. In addition we have many other areas of service.

A Place Of Learning:

We consider studying the Bible vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually. We believe the whole Bible and accept it as God’s Word to man. It is a book that is alive and relevant in today’s world of complex problems and needs. In order to make is easier to learn the wonderful principles for  living found in God’s Word.

A Place Of Worship:

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His Blessing and inspiration. All our services are available on cassette tape.  Our tape ministry is located in the church foyer next to the exit door.  They are free to all.

A Place Of Prayer:

The Bible tells us “evening morning and at noon will I pray.”  A time of prayer is very important to us.  We meet at 7:00 PM before our Wednesday night preaching and teaching time.  We meet before Sunday morning service in the auditorium together to pray for the service that someone might come to know the Lord, as well as for the needs of those who are going to be in our services that day.  The church  meets during the week to pray for the needs of those who have requested prayer.

If you need prayer you can call ( 502) 863-3988.
